Episode 4: The Moment of Truth
One crisp evening, the university hosted a cultural festival, and Tunde and Chika decided to attend together. The festival was a lively celebration of music, dance, and food, with colourful decorations and the scent of street food wafting through the air. As they walked through the stalls, Tunde noticed how happy and animated Chika looked.
They stopped at a stall selling handcrafted jewellery, and Chika picked out a bracelet, admiring it with a smile. “This is beautiful. I love the design.”
Tunde watched her, feeling a sense of contentment. “You have great taste.”
As the evening progressed, they found themselves at the festival’s main stage, where a band was performing upbeat music. Tunde and Chika joined the crowd, dancing to the rhythm. The connection between them felt electric, and Tunde couldn’t deny the growing attraction he felt.
After the dance, they took a quiet walk by the campus lake, the moonlight casting a gentle glow over the water. They paused, and Chika turned to Tunde, her eyes reflecting the moon’s light.
“Tunde,” she began, her voice soft, “there’s something I’ve been wanting to tell you.”
Tunde looked at her, his heart racing. “What is it?”
“I’ve been feeling something more than friendship for a while now,” Chika confessed, her voice trembling slightly. “I think I’m falling for you.”
Tunde’s face lit up with a relieved smile. “I’ve been feeling the same way. I was just waiting for the right moment to tell you.”
Chika’s eyes sparkled with emotion as they shared their first kiss, a gentle and heartfelt moment that marked the beginning of a new chapter in their relationship.
